The machine has a longitudinal chassis (2), of inverted "U" form, supported at the rear by two wheels (4,4'). The front has two vertical shafts (20,20'), for detachable tools (42,42'), motor driven by a belt (16). Belt tension is externally adjustable by (24,26), to couple the tool shafts to the motor. The shafts rotate in opposite directions, synchronously. When the tool shafts are decoupled, the motor is coupled to the wheels. The tool may be a cutting unit, with two rotors, each with a tubular casing, a rotating disc and several knives. Each disc may comprise metal half shells, the top halves are fixed to their shafts, the bottom halves loose. The knives may be fixed to the top shells.
