The lure includes a compartment containing one of more flashing diodes and a vibrator (2) which is powered by a waterproof battery compartment. Scented bait (4) is provided within the lure, which may outwardly be fish shaped and formed from translucent or coloured rubber. The whole lure is connected to the fishing line (6) and reel (7). The flashing lights and vibrator may be switched on either using a screw mechanism (1) or by a balance device responding to the level of the lure.
