The clip consists of a flexible strip (11), with two permanent magnets (13,14) providing the clamping action. In use, the flexible strip partly surrounds a part of the cloth material (4) to hold by the permanent magnetic force. One end of the flexible strip carriers the identity card (2) etc.. Pref. the end sections of the flexible strip are fitted with pocket-shaped, encloses cavities, each containing the fixed permanent magnet. The flexible strip may be loop-shaped forming a tube with the permanent magnets fixed in the tube ends.
