A fuel assembly (1) for a light-water nuclear reactor and a spacer (7), arranged therein, with a reinforcement part in which the spacer (7) is intended to retain elongated elements (3, 9) at a plurality of levels. The spacer (7) comprises an orthogonal lattice composed of spacer cells (7a) and at the downstream and/or upstream edge of the spacer (7) there is arranged a reinforcement part (8) which comprises a first system of band elements (8b), standing on edge, with a distance between them corresponding to at least one rod pitch, and a second system of crossed band elements (8c), disposed perpendicularly to the first system, with a corresponding distance between them forming reinforcement cells (8a). |
