<p>Automated bucket loading is achieved through the use of sensor feedback provided by pressure and extension sensors (16, 18) on hydraulic cylinder(s) to control the trajectory of the bucket (12) to be loaded by a computer algorithm. Additional sensors (32, 38, 40, 44, 52) can be used to provide further control of the loading cycle and of the vehicle operation. The invention can be integrated with existing machinery or used on new loaders, such as LHDs, equipped with a suitable control interface capable of taking computerized control of the vehicle's actions.</p> |
