Docking installation for maintenance and overhaul of aircraft

The docking arrangement may be used in an aircraft hangar. The dock side sections (28, 29) are joined by a suspension device with a frame support (23) to form a portal-like support construction which is movable along the length of the aircraft. The dock side sections each have a movable bridge part (32, 33) such that when the bridge parts are moved away from each other a through passage space (50) is created between the side sections. When the bridge parts are moved towards each other a bridge crossing over the aircraft is formed.
