Cosmetic compsns for topical use, esp for protecting the skin and/or hair from the effects of light, contain 4-methylbenzylidene-camphor (I) as a UV-B filter, and 2-ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate (II) in an amt sufficient to solubilise (I). Also claimed is a cosmetic treatment process for protecting the skin and/or hair against UV radiation, esp sunlight, comprising application of a compsn as above. |
