<p>The present invention provides a material to be welded which is used for butt welding capable of forming a pipe or an apparatus which can, after the welding has been done, reduce mixing of particles and provide at a high reproducibility a highly clean atmosphere in which the concentration of impurities such as water is minimized; and a method of cutting this material. The invention also provides a wire for wire electric discharge machining which is capable of preventing a decrease in chromium composition in the vicinity of a weld bead formed after a welding has been carried out. 1) The material to be welded is characterized in that a butting surface is formed by cutting the material with a wire electric discharge machine. The surface of a wire in the wire electric discharge machine preferably comprises stainless steel or chromium, and stainless steel or chromium is preferably deposited to a thickness of not less than 0.1 νm on a cut surface. 2) The cutting method is characterized in that at least a butting surface is cut using a wire electric discharge machine. 3) The wire is characterized in that at least the surface thereof comprises stainless steel or chromium.</p> |
