The X-ray diagnostic system has a CCD detector panel that consists of photodiodes (1-4) organised into 1,920 lines and 1,036 columns. Shift registers (5, 6) are coupled to the columns. Parallel shifts are made to the registers (9, 10) of the half frame memories (8). The transfer of charges between lines is made at specific timing periods. Both half frame lines are summed in a digital memory to create a full frame image.
