A device for coating foodstuffs with liquid material has a roller (9), mounted at right angles to the conveyor (6), dispensing a sheet or 'veil' of the mass onto the objects, with a collection trough (13) below, to receive excess. Above the conveyor, a supply tube (2) parallel to the roller (9), has narrow exit slots (10) directed onto the roller. A wiper blade (3) mounted before the roller, viewed in the conveyor's direction, retains the poured mass, and spreads it sideways on the roller. |
