Distributed information processing system with PC network

The information processing system has a number of information processing devices linked by a communications network. It uses a number of image processing devices (1) and image transfer devices (2) including a digital copier, facsimile unit, scanner and similar devices connected to a network of personal computers (PC's). The network also contains an image processor with pixel density conversion, Huffman or Liese encoding/decoding, Moire reduction and half-tone processing with gamma-correction.
