<p>Four flow velocity sensors 121-124 are vertically arranged in line in the same cross section of the gas flow passage of a pipeline (11). The signals from the sensors 121-124 are inputted to a mean flow velocity calculating section which calculates the mean value of the flow velocity measurements of the sensors 121-124. The mean flow velocity value calculated by the mean flow velocity calculating section is converted into a flow rate at a flow rate calculating section and the calculated flow rate is displayed on a displaying section. Since the flow rate can be accurately measured regardless of the flow velocity distribution which varies depending upon the shape, etc., of the pipeline (11), the flow rate can be accurately measured over a wide range.</p> |
