<p>The solar modulus is made by building up alternate layers of thin solar cell material (E2, E4) and TCO-electrode material (E1, E3, E5) on a transparent substrate (1). The solar cell material which may be pin- or nip-type is structured to interconnect them by using a laser beam. This produces solar cells within one layer with a parallel connection and solar cells in different layers with series connection. By focussing the laser beam on the bottom surface of the first solar cell material (semi-conductor), this material is blown off from the bottom electrode material and in the cases where other material is on top of this layer, such as material from layers (E3, E4, E5), this is removed at the same time.</p> |
