<p>The disclosed device (DT1, DT2) is mounted at a middle point on the control cable (C) which connects the accelerator pedal (1) to the corresponding mechanism (2) of the engine carburator. The device (DT1, DT2) is comprised of a main cylindrical body (5) provided with a radial extension (E), a rod (7) partially housed into the main body (5), a spring (8) and a switch (9) comprised of a movable contact (10) and two fixed contacts (11). The internal portion (22) of the rod (7) has a cylindrical contact-support (32) which incorporates the movable contact (10), and the fixed contacts (11) are included in the main body (5). The longitudinal biasing of the sheath (4) of the cable (C) causes the displacement of the rod (7) towards the inside of the main body (5) thereby closing the switch (9).
