The block (1) has a recess at one side in which a plate (2) is mounted. This plate is made from a material which is highly abrasive resistant. Bolts (4) which have been welded to this plate pass through holes (5) in the block. When the plate has been worn or damaged, it is removed and ground down to provide a new surface. The plate is replaced with a spacer (7) under it. The thickness of the spacer is equal to the amount by which the plate (2) has been ground down. A second, not-reusable, plate made from abrasive resistant material can be mounted on the rear of the block, with adhesive.
