In an apparatus for water treatment using media for treating water, having a storage unit for providing a regeneration medium solution for regenerating the water treatment media, which contains a first vessel (1) for producing a regeneration medium solution of defined concentration from solid regeneration medium stored in the first vessel (1) and a second vessel (5) for metering the regeneration medium solution, the first vessel (1) being able to communicate with the second vessel (5) via connection means, having a feed line (12) via which the make-up feed water can be passed into the storage unit, and having a regeneration medium suction line (8), via which the regeneration medium solution made ready can be completely withdrawn and fed to the water treatment media, the feed line (12) for the make-up feed water opens out completely or at least in part into the second vessel (5) for metering the regeneration medium solution (14).
