Furnace conveyor trays held by guide-rails and linked by couplings

Workpieces are conveyed through a heat-treatment furnace by a transport assembly. The transport assembly incorporates a number of ceramic tray units linked by couplings which each pull and guide the subsequent tray. Each side of the path through the furnace bears roller guides for the moving trays and a tray pulling assembly interrupter is located at the furnace outlet where the trays de-couple on removal. The trays are transported further at the furnace outlet by a supplementary assembly.
