Accurate control and determn of engine throttle end position

The air intake to an engine is controlled by an electrically operated throttle (10). The position of the actuator is monitored (20) and the signal feedback to the engine management controller (22) that also delivers output (24) to operate the motor (16) actuator. The control unit also accepts inputs from a battery level sensor (36), engine temperature sensor (40) and others engine parameter sensors (46-48). The throttle position is controlled by a regulator function (64) that determines when the endpoint is reached. The end position valve will be corrected based upon engine and battery parameters. Values are stored in memory.
