Numerical positional control of coupled leader and follower shafts

Position of coupled shafts is numerically controlled whereby a follower shaft is guided by signals from the motion of a leader shaft. The set and actual signals of the leader shaft motion in set and actual signal coupling paths are weighted with branch-specific set and actual component factors for the coupling path intensity. The weighted coupling path signals are added together for coupled guidance of the follower shaft motion. Pref. the sum of the set and actual component factors of corresponding coupling paths is controlled to unity.
