Foldable box with curved sides comprising, in a flat position, two sides (1, 2), which can be placed over one another, connected by a prescored line (3) corresponding to the lower edge of the box. One of the sides (1) has at least one arcuate prescored line (5, 6) and one straight prescored line (7, 8) which join at their ends, said lines extending between the end of the upper edge of said sides and an intermediate location on the opposite edge. The arcuate line curves inwardly towards the centre of one side, the other side (2) having at lest one arcuate line (19, 20) extending from the upper edge to the intermediate location on the lower edge. The box is formed by pressing on the outer portion of the prescored straight lines. It is characterized in that one of the sides includes a foldable lateral tab (21, 22) defined by the straight prescored line (17, 18), the outer surface of said foldable tab being glued onto the inner surface of the complementary side, so that the two straight lines (7, 8, 17, 18) can be superimposed. The invention also concerns a method for manufacturing such a box.
