<p>An orthopaedic support (60) having outer and inner resilient layers (62, 64) wherein the outer resilient layer (62) is comprised of a material suitable for surrounding and supporting a portion of the human anatomy through compression and an inner resilient layer (64) generally coextensive with a substantial portion of the outer resilient layer which may be comprised of a material selected to enhance the performance and comfort of the support. The inner and outer resilient layers may be secured together in discrete zones but are otherwise freely stretchable or movable relative to one another. The outer resilient layer (62) may be provided with an aperture (20) configured to receive a discrete area of the supported body member such as the knee cap. The inner resilient layer (64) may extend across the aperture (20) in the outer resilient layer (62).</p> |
