<p>A device for use in conjunction with a spanner or wrench. The device comprises an arm (14), spanner neck engagement means, usually in the form of a bore, located at one end of the said arm and nut engagement means (22), usually in the form of a socket, located at the other end of the said arm. The nut engagement means are laterally spaced with respect to the spanner neck engagement means. The device may be used to provide axial stability, and thus prevent slippage, by fitting onto a second adjacent nut (28) when the spanner or wrench is being used to apply torque to a first nut.</p> |
