The ring chamber (17) of the combination ring (3) is divided into two pressure chambers (5,6) by a flange (4) or web. The chambers have an associated common pre-chamber (7), and the connection is via feed bores (16). Radial bores (13) extend from the pressure chambers to an axial bore (14) in the shaft (2). The sum of the profiles of feed bores or radial bores, is the same or smaller than the cross-section of the pipe (15) for the complete oil supply. The chambers have associated open bores (10,11), which act with a throttle unit (12) to adjust the strength of the damper action.
