Stator and composite stator blade for a counter-torque device consisting of a shrouded rotor and stator and their manufacturing method

The rotor is mounted on the drive shaft of a vaned stator/air flow rectifier, and has blades (9) with an aerodynamic profile surrounding its hub (14). The rotor blades are composite and have inner and outer surfaces formed from at least three layers of reinforcing carbon fibres in a thermo-setting resin. At least one of the inner and outer layers has two sets of unidirection fibres at 30-70 degrees to one another and symmetrical relative to the blade's lengthwise axis, and an intermediate layer with fibres in line with the blade's axis. The fibres are extended at the inner ends of the blades to form feet (17) fixing the blades to the hub. The fibres comprise between 40 and 60 per cent of the volume of the reinforced layers of the blades. <IMAGE>
