A weaving machine shaft linkage is designed to connect the heddle shafts to a shaft drive, or disconnect them, in a straight movement, pref. perpendicular in direction w.r.t. the web plane. It comprises a first linkage part (11) fitted on a heddle shaft (2), second linkage part (12) fixed to a thrust rod (4) and, located on the first linkage part, a swivelling coupling element with wedges where shoulders can be engaged or disengaged, i.e. to latch or release the linkage parts. The first and second parts have interlocking sections (14,15) with a surface (16) running across the direction of attachment and two lateral surfaces (17) running in the attachment direction to guide the connection. At least one lateral surface (17) is shaped to incline from the direction of attachment to eliminate the effect of the moment set up when the coupling sections are moved relatively w.r.t. each other. Also claimed is a loom where several heddle shafts are connected to their drives via the claimed linkages. <IMAGE> |
