PURPOSE:To obtain the denitration catalyst of an exhaust gas having excellent anti-poisoning property by depositing a catalytic metal such as copper, etc., on a zeolite having a specific mean pore size and a ratio of silica/alumina, and by mixing the obtd. catalyst with the starting material of titanium oxide, followed by calcining it. CONSTITUTION:One or more than one kind of the metal selected from copper, molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium and iron is deposited on the zeolite such as mordenite etc. having 8Angstrom mean pore size and >=10 silica/alumina ratio. Subsequently, the obtd. zeolite powder and meta-titanate or titanic acid powder are mixed, followed by forming and calcining it. In the obtd. catalyst, a new active point is introduced to the zeolite deposited an active component thereon by contacting said zeolite with titanium oxide. Said active point is hard to be poisoned with a catalytic poisonous substrate, thereby maintaining the catalyst to a high activity for a long period. |
