The method for correcting brightness deviation comprises the steps of: substituting the first grid number for a grid variable; determining if the grid variable is the nth grid number; if the grid variable is less than or equal to the nth grid number, reading and shifting an anode data; determining if the grid variable is the first grid number; if the grid variable is the first grid number, outputting a grid data signal of logic "high" state; if the grid variable is not the first grid number, outputting the grid data signal of logic "low" state; shifting the grid data signal; substituting a duty rate variable for a constant value by a quadratic function which is in proportion to the inverse of a brightness deviation; determining if the duty rate variable is "0"; if the duty rate variable is not "0", reducing the duty rate variable, performing a delay routine and returning to the step of determining if the duty rate variable is "0"; if the duty rate variable is "0", isolating a data signal output to a fluorescent display panel and storing a new data signal at a latch; disabling the latch and outputting the new data to the fluorescent display panel; increasing the grid variable by 1 and returning to the step of determining of the grid variable is the nth grid number.
