PURPOSE:To enable a layer having high insulating properties to be formed on a base plate by incorporating the prescribed amount of a colorant consisting of Cr2O3, molybdic acid and TiO2 into the main component contg. both Al2O3 and SiO2, MgO and CaO which are flux. CONSTITUTION:A colored alumina ceramic base plate (A) for a laser marker is obtained by incorporating a colorant contg. 2.5-6.0wt.% (herein-after %) total amount of three components consisting of 2-5% Cr2O3, 0.1-0.5% molibdic acid and 0.1-0.5% TiO2 into a blended material contg. 94.0-97.5% total amount of both >=87% Al2O3 and >=4% flux contg. SiO2, MgO and CaO. Then a blended material (B) is obtained by blending 71.5-90.1% Al2O3 with SiO2, MgO and CaO which are flux. Further a colorant (C) is obtained by blending 2.5-20.0% Cr2O3, 0.3-0.6% molybdic acid and 0.1-1.0% TiO2. Then ceramic composition (D) for the laser marker is obtained by adding the component C to 78.5-97.1% component B, reducing and calcining the mixture. Furthermore the insulated layer of the component D is formed on the base plate A. |
