The lid (4) is fixed on the end edge of the casing sleeve (12). There is a sealed separating gap (9) which in the area of the gear wheel (20) splined on the output shaft (14) is offset towards the output side. The separating gap can run in part at an acute angle (alpha) inclined to the longitudinal axis (8) of the gearbox. The separating seam has an angled or curved path. In the cover is a socket (5) for the free end of the reduction gear shaft (6).
