The electric oven includes a base plate (4) with a vertical wall (2) attached, forming the casing of the oven within which there is a screened electrical heating element (10). A section of the heating element is retained by a guide and support (20), part of which extended in through the side wall (2). The section of the guide which stands outside the oven includes a temperature sensor (23) which is used in controlling the operation of the heating element.
