摘要 PURPOSE:To efficiently and economically recover a Ru complex by extraction treating a catalytic solution, obtained by removing an objective product from a reaction solution, obtained by hydrogenating an organic carbonyl compound in the presence of the Ru complex having a tertiary organic phosphorus compound as a ligand, with a polar solvent containing a basic material. CONSTITUTION:The catalytic solution is obtained by removing the objective product (e.g. gamma-butyrolactone and water) from the reaction solution obtained by hydrogenating the organic carbonyl compound (e.g. succinic anhydride) in the presence of the Ru complex having the tertiary organic phosphorus compound (e.g. trialkyl phosphine) as the ligand. The catalytic solution is extraction treated with the polar solvent (e.g. water) containing the basic material (e.g. NaOH) to phase separate to a liquid phase mainly containing the basic material and a liquid phase mainly containing the Ru complex. The Ru complex is reutilized by hydrogenating the Ru complex containing liquid phase if necessary, after treating with an acid (e.g. alkyl sulfonic acid).
