PURPOSE:To improve the interactive performance of a game machine as the image processor. CONSTITUTION:This image processor is equipped with a command interpretation part 2 which interprets the contents of the command data in a drawing command sent from a host, checks the option bit in the command data when the contents show, for example, a polygon drawing mode, and sends an indication for changing the drawing state into the mode indicated with the option bit, e.g. a line drawing mode to a state machine 3, the state machine 3 which starts the processes of respective process blocks in the state prepared with the indication, an edge DDA block 6 which finds edge coordinates from the polygon data in the command data, and a scan DDA block 7 which finds color information (RED, GREEN, and BLUE) of a coordinate point (pixel) by using the luminance gradient coefficient found by the DDA arithmetic and writes the information in a VRAM, etc., through an output buffer 8. |
