PURPOSE:To suppress drying and leakage of ink at a nib by fixing and holding a elastic element by an elastic element holding member in a cap having the element in contact with the nib in a cap body inner hole. CONSTITUTION:The cap A of a writing instrument has a cap body 1, an elastic element 2, and an elastic element holding member 3. The body 1 has an inner hole 5 in which the nib of a writing instrument body is inserted, and an elastic element mounting hole 6 communicating with the hole 5. The member 3 is engaged with the hole 6. The member 3 has a base 7 disposed in the hole 5 of the body 1. The element 2 formed in a flat plate state of silicone rubber, urethane rubber, etc., is held in a recess 8 formed on the base 7 in a press injected state. The member 3 further has as a part continued to the base 7 a protrusion 9 to become a clip 10 and an impact absorber 9a at the time of dropping to be extended to the other side from the protrusion 9. |
