PURPOSE:To perform a reservation application processing by data received by a facsimile. CONSTITUTION:When the application of a hotel reservation is received and outputted as a picture by the facsimile 1, an OCR 2 discriminates and outputs it as reception data. A hotel reservation part 7 tentatively stores the reception data in the input order and the stored reception data are related to the reception case number and stored in a reception data storage part 4. The hotel reservation part 7 successively reads the stored reception data in a stored order, investigates the presence/absence of formal errors, refers to a room list storage part 5 and a reserved data storage part 6 for storing the information of reserved rooms when no errors are present, investigates whether or not the reservation is possible, prepares reserved data when the reservation is possible, updates the contents of the reserved data storage part 6 and performs storage. Also, the hotel reservation part 7 generates a message corresponding to the result of the above-mentioned processing, tentatively stores it in a message storage part 8, successively reads the contents and transmits the result through the facsimile 1 to an opposite party as the message. |
