PURPOSE:To provide a process and apparatus for mechanically and continuously producing a half-open packaged food having a core material exposed from a part of the surface of an outer skin material using a rod-shaped food containing a core and composed of two or more kinds of food materials. CONSTITUTION:A core-containing rod-shaped food F continuously extruded from an extrusion die 81 is cut at the die-side of a cutter 1 while wrapping the core material with an outer skin material and, at the same time, cut at the side opposite to the extrusion die in a state of exposing the core material on the cut face. A half-open packaged food having a core material exposed on a part of the surface of an outer skin material is automatically produced simply by the cutting motion of a cutter to remarkably improve the production efficiency compared with conventional troublesome procedure to wrap the core materials with outer skin materials one by one. |
