发明名称 IMAGE SIGNAL ENCODING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the encoding efficiency and reduce the encoding quantity by employing a value having an identity as to a current feature point among plural next candidate feature points as an index value and selecting the candidate point having the largest index value. CONSTITUTION:A chain encoding circuit 30 performs the chain encoding of coefficient values and position information of feature points in order while referring to the contents of a state register 14 until X-coordinate and Y- coordinate registers 12 and 13 indicate the final coordinates of a frame. This chain encoding circuit 30 once detecting a feature point as the start point of the chain calculates the square values of differences in amplitude from the current feature points as to plural candidate feature points present at the periphery of the feature point. The chain encoding circuit 30 compares the square values of the differences in order and selects the smallest value as a feature point to be encoded right after the current feature point. The smallest square value of the difference from the current feature points shows that the candidate feature point has the highest identity to the current feature point.
