<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the control accuracy of tension between stands, and to suppress the fluctuation of tension, caused by the disturbance of the temperature of a material by providing a control calculation means calculating the rotational speed command value of a looper motor and that of the main motor of a rolling mill, and controlling both motors by a calculated speed command value. CONSTITUTION:A deviation between the speed of a main machine and its speed command value is controlled so that the deviation is made small by a main machine speed controller 10 controlling the speed of the main motor 9 of an ith stand rolling mill 2. The drawing down device 11 of the ith + 1 stand rolling mill 3 is used for an automatic gage control (AGC). The speed command value of the motor 7 of a looper 4 and that of the ith stand main machine 9 are calculated by a control calculation means 12. The tension command value of a rolling stock and the command value of a looper height are given to the control calculation means 12 by a setting means 13. Also, a control gain is found as a value by the setting means 13, and is given to the control calculation means 12. The control gain is found by the setting means 13, using the control theory such as a LQ control, etc.</p> |
