<p>PURPOSE:To provide a rear chassis structure excellent in ensuring strength and rigidity sufficient for a fuel tank and in an incorporating property in a car body. CONSTITUTION:A rear chassis structure of an automobile joins a fuel tank 1 provided on the outer shell with a pivotably connecting part 12 for supporting a suspension arm to the lower part of a car body between left and right rear wheel suspension systems 2. Particularly, the outer shell of the fuel tank is divided into upper and lower parts, and the fuel tank is constitutionally joined to the car body with a bracket 13 joined to the outer shell of the lower side through a fastening means. A member of opened section structure extending at least widthwise of the car body is provided in the fuel tank to be joined to the pivotably connecting part through the fastening means.</p> |
