PURPOSE:To microminiaturize an optical pickup by arranging a light source which emits a light beam, a reflection surface which reflects the light beam emitted from this light source toward a disk and a signal detecting means within the thickness of a lens. CONSTITUTION:The light source and a signal detecting part 31 are fixed and arranged within the thickness of the lens 23. The light beam L30 radiated from this light source and the signal detecting part 31 is reflected by the reflection surface 34A of a reflection film layer 34 disposed on the rear surface 32B of the lens 32 and is then condensed onto the disk 35 via the upper surface 32A of the lens 32, by which the signals recorded on the disk 35 are detected. As a result, the thickness over the entire part of the optical pickup 30 is reduced down to the thickness component of the lens 32, by which the optical pickup is microminiaturized. |
