摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in plasticizer resistance, oil resistance, preserbability and color forming sensitivity and suitable for high speed recording, in a thermal recording material utilizing the reaction of a monomolecule or two or more molecules developing a color by heating, by adding an exothermic heat amplifying material. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material utilizing the reaction of a monomolecule or two or more molecules colorless or light-colored at the normal temp. and developing a color by heating on a support, an exothermic heat amplifying material is added. As the exothermic heat amplifying material, an azo compd. or a hydrazide compd. with a heating value of 100J/g or more is used. In exothermic reaction, a leuco dye and a coupler allowing the leuco dye to form a color by heating are pref. utilized. As the coupler, a metal salt of aromatic carboxylic acid or aromatic sulfonic acid is used. If necessary, an intermediate layer containing plastic spherical fine hollow particles composed of a thermoplastic resin is provided between the support and a thermal color forming layer.
