PURPOSE:To dispense with an investigation by an operator into the causes of an equipment failure and to enable a mounting equipment to be restarted without a manual operation by a method wherein the a part mounting equipment is restarted by an automatic reset device in accordance with operational programs set in a control means when the equipment is stopped by specific failure signals, and the part mounting equipment is made to operate automatically again when no failure signals are outputted. CONSTITUTION:When a stop means 16 receives failure signals from a check means 14, it outputs stop signals to stop the operation of a board transfer/feed mechanism 11 and an insertion mechanism 12, a part inserting machine 18 stops moving to a following board for carrying a part fixing operation. At the same time, an automatic reset device 10 judges that all leads are inserted into insertion holes or not based on the failure signals. When the reset device 10 judges that all the leads are not inserted into the insertion holes, it outputs a reset signal to the insertion mechanism 12 so as to enable it to insert another part of the same kind into the same board where an insertion failure takes place. In result, when a failure signal is stopped, the part inserting machine 18 is automatically restarted. Therefore, a part mounting device of this constitution is lessened in frequency of operational interruptions. |
