PURPOSE:To obtain a printing controller and its controlling method wherein dispersion in density for each position owing to a recording head is eliminated to form an excellent image. CONSTITUTION:When a data of each component of KCMY is inputted, a code indicating a ratio wherein a data of color component to be watched therein occupies pixels to be watched, is outputted from a component ratio code forming circuit 102 to look up tables 104-107, and a data of a color component to be watched at present and the number of upper bits of a total value of respective components of the pixels to be watched are also supplied. Consequently, since a multiplying factor corresponding to each of KCMY is obtained from respective look up tables, it is calculated with multipliers 108-111, and lastly added with an adder 113. A corrected data of each component of the pixel to be watched is selected with a selector 114 only when a value set to a shift register 115 is '1'. In other cases excepting that, a multivalued data before correction is selected. |
