<p>PURPOSE:To increase an of-off ratio and to enable display with high fineness and high contrast by composing the nonlinear resistance layers of two-terminals nonlinear elements of anodically oxidized films. CONSTITUTION:An element side substrate 31 is formed with scanning wirings and scanning electrodes (lower electrodes) 22 branched from these scanning lines on a glass substrate 21. The nonlinear resistance layers 23 consisting of the anodically oxidized film are formed thereon. An insulating film 24 having ruggedness is formed on the nonlinear resistance layers 23 and pixel electrodes 25 having reactivity are formed thereon. Further, the pixel electrodes 25 are electrically connected via the contact holes formed at the insulating film 24 to the nonlinear resistance layers 23 of the two-terminals nonlinear elements 26. The nonlinear resistance layers 23 of the two-terminals nonlinear elements 26 consist of the sulfided films formed by anodically sulfiding the conductive films or semiconductor films.</p> |
