PURPOSE:To enlarge the capacity of a cleaner case and improve its intake efficiency without losing its layout performance by partitioning the inside of the cleaner case by a transverse bulkhead vertically, and providing an inlet and an outlet on one side of the cleaner case in order. CONSTITUTION:In the air cleaner of a scooter type motorcycle, the inside of its cleaner case 22 is partitioned by a transverse bulkhead 27 vertically, and a purifying chamber 29 and an intake air chamber 28 are formed vertically, and a purifying member 34 is arranged in the purifying chamber 29. A communicating part 42 for communicating the intake air chamber 28 and the purifying chamber 29 with each other is provided on the transverse bulkhead 27, and also an air inlet 43 is formed in the intake air chamber 28, and an air outlet 45 is formed on the clean side 32 of the purifying chamber 29. These inlet 43 and outlet 45 are arranged on the end parts of front and rear sides of a case 22, and the communicating part 42 provided on the transverse bulkhead 27 is formed on the cleaner case 22 end part opposing to a side on which the inlet 43 and the outlet 45 are provided. |
