The door (1) has a bottom section (6) hinged on it on a lengthwise horizontal axis (7) and flush with it in the shut position. On opening, the section folds inwards so that its bottom edge (4) is at a higher level. A spring (8) acting between the door and the bottom section thrusts the latter into the higher folded position. There is a control cam (10) on the section working against a stop (9) on the vehicle body. The stop can be arranged to move in a direction (F) at right angles to the plane of the door. It is thrust by a spring (8) towards the pivoting section. It can have a roller or ball at its tip, by which it bears against the cam. |
