The gas-filled electrical isolator has a disc-shaped rod isolator (1) that consists of a metal fitting (2) of aluminium alloy with a silvered surface that is produced as a casting. The cover surface (4) of the insulator fitting is degassed and moulded around the surface is the insulating body (5) that is formed of hardened moulding resin.
