The method for practicing character writing comprises: a character input step of inputting characters via a tablet; a character perceiving step of obtaining a Fourier coefficient of the character stroke and comparing the obtained Fourier coefficient with a Fourier coefficient of a reference character stroke to perceive the input character; a character output selecting step of determining whether to output the perceived character code as a sound signal or to output it via a screen; a sound signal outputting step of synthesizing the sound synthesis coefficient of the perceived character if the perceived character code is output as a sound signal and outputting the synthesized sound signal to a speaker; and a screen displaying step of displaying the character corresponding to the perceived character code if the perceived character code is output via a screen.
