PURPOSE: To provide a seal for high temperature environment suitable for a plug or shaft assembly on which pressure is balanced. CONSTITUTION: A sealing element 1 to be secured in a valve housing 2 is furnished, and the sealing element 1 is a seal for a balanced pressure valve mechanism furnished with a seal recessed part 4 and a seal leg part 5, the seal recessed part 4 is deformed when pressure is applied on it, a part of the seal leg part 5 is energized so as to closely engaged with a surface of a valve plug 7, a retainer 6 is arranged on a surface of a housing 2, and the retainer 6 is arranged so as to limit a degree of the seal leg part 5 to warp toward the surface of the valve plug 7 when a valve is opened. |
