The rotary four stroke engine is designed to enable all four stages of the cycle to be carried out in one revolution. It consists of six principal parts. The stator (1) has a cylindrical form, with openings, A, B, C1 and C2, arranged around the peripheral wall. The rotor (2) rotates within the cylinder around a fixed axis (3). The rotor is formed as a block, with a section hollowed out and sealed at the ends by disks (17,18). Seals (13) are fitted to enclose the chamber and it is fitted with oil extraction passage (9 & 10). The fixed axis carries a connecting rod (5), which is mounted on an eccentric axis (16). The outer end of the connecting rod carries a pendulum piston (4), which is connected to the rotor block by the axis (8). The outer surface of the piston carries a hollowed out section (7) to form the combustion chamber.
