The pivoted assembly comprises a yoke (1) which is fixed to the vehicle bodywork and a thin plate (6) connected to the door. These two parts pivot relative to each other on an axis (XX) formed by an expansion rivet (4) by using a pin (5). A drilling (21) in the yoke first branch (2) and the drilling (61) in the plate have a diameter corresponding to that of the pin. The drilling (31) in the yoke second branch has a diameter less than that of the pin but equal to that of the rivet. The length of the pin is equal to the distance (H) from the internal face of the second branch and the external face of the first branch. The rivet engages in the pin and the second branch drilling to lock the pin between the internal face of the second branch and the external face of the first branch.
